Let me brag...just a little |
As a widow, I grew tired of living alone and decided to move to a senior-living facility. My children live out of state and would be unable to help me with the task of moving. Fortunately the place I was moving to and my financial advisor both recommended Theresa and Everything Has a Place. Thank goodness I took their advice.
Theresa and her team where helpful in so many ways: with constant advice, very efficient packing of the stuff to move, obtaining the courteous, reasonably priced movers, doing a fabulous job of staging the remaining furniture to enhance the sale of my house, then later, packing what was left, and arranging to have it delivered to the household sale site where Theresa had made plans with a sale company. While it was all emotionally stressful, I can't imagine doing it all without her and her staff. They kept in touch throughout the whole process and tried to make it as easy as possible for me.
I would not hesitate to recommend Everything Has a Place to anyone contemplating moving.

We contacted Theresa after moving my parents into an in-law apartment attached to our home. My parents had lived in their home for many years and as a small business owner with three children, I found it difficult to spend time helping them clean it out.
Theresa's staff was caring and sensitive to my parents needs. Due to health issues, some days my parents pushed themselves to meet with Theresa; however, she stopped the work. Theresa always considered the needs of my parents before the task at hand. This provided me extreme comfort to know that she was looking out for their best interest as I could not be present during most of the work.
There was never any question of trust handling my parent's property which included family heirlooms and antiques. Theresa and her staff worked with the utmost care and respect with all of their possessions.

Three weeks. That's all it took was three weeks for the Everything Has a Place team to clear out a house that had been collecting things for almost 25 years, move what remained to its new home, and get us unpacked and arranged. It would have taken another 25 years of help from family and friends to get us straightened out and moved on to our new life if it hadn't been for Theresa and her team.
We were feeling overwhelmed and stuck and hopeless whenever we thought of moving to a home that was more suitable for an aging couple. We didn't know where to begin and we didn't know where we were going to find the energy to do all that needed to be done.
Theresa's team was organized, energetic, very kind, and very helpful in keeping things moving forward, guiding us to make decisions that would make life so much easier for us. We are so grateful for the expertise of this team. It was like having a fairy godmother!

"I am writing a letter of recommendation for Theresa Downham and her company, Everything Has A Place. I moved from .... to ......
I have MS, am in a wheelchair, and have a number of medical supplies and mechanics. I lived in a one bedroom apartment with a den and patio. Theresa and her crew carefully packed my whole apartment in one day, marking each box etc. as to where it went in the new townhouse. On my moving day, Theresa coordinated movers, apartment cleaning/inspection and unpacking in a stress-free environment for me. By the end of my moving day, my beds were made, my furniture was placed and my kitchen was unpacked and usable. By the end of the second day, my books were unpacked, my closets were organized, Theresa had gotten some of my furniture from storage, and my computer, TV and appliances were working. All this and I had a wonderful, laughing and relaxing day. Theresa and her crew consistently showed concern for my health and well-being through this whole process. "In addition to all the work and assistance Everything Has A Place provided us in our downsizing, they were a source of great help in the actual move to our new home. They had already worked with us to decide what we would move, sell, or trash. They held a 3 day garage sale that was most successful before the move. After the move they held a 2 day house sale. One of them went with us to assist in the purchase of new furniture and helped plan the arrangement of new and previously owned furniture and furnishings. One was available to wait at the new house for deliveries when we were out of town. On moving day they were available at both houses to help supervise the move and help unpack at the new house. They made sure our beds were made for the night and the kitchen was useable for our meals. They also assisted in the planning for installation of phone, TV and computer.
Their help and advice made our move both efficient and easy (if a move is ever easy). We would recommend their services to anyone. We could not have accomplished our move without them."
